Regions Hospital has a great opportunity to join our nursing team as a RN in Mental Health to work with an incredible team of people who have a passion for caring for others!

This unit has 20 private rooms/bathrooms (some handicapped accessible), separate dining and day room space, a spacious group room, a comfort room, and open areas for visiting and relaxing. In addition, patients have access to a large activity room and a secured outdoor space. Patients on this unit are 18 years and older and are experiencing an acute mental health illness with high acuity and requiring intensive care. In addition, our patients may have medical/surgical conditions that are being treated and require intervention.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of current nursing practices and techniques
• Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing
• Completion of an associate, baccalaureate or master’s degree program in Nursing. BSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN is obtained within 5 years of hire.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with patients, family members and co-workers
• Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
• CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
• Ability to effectively participate on an interdisciplinary treatment team
