Job Title:Medical Records Clerk #1 (full-time position)
Reports To: Medical Records/ Scanning Supervisor
Position Objective:Processes electronic filing, scanning and various medical records tasks in a timely manner.
Position Requirements:High School Diploma. Good communication and computer skills and good working knowledge of general medical terminology.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Maintains a working knowledge of Fuijtsu scanner
- Maintains a working knowledge of scanning prepped charts in ICS
- Maintain a working knowledge of the NextGen EPM, EMR, and ICS operating systems.
- Process and maintains electronic incoming faxes and distributes
- Confirms and logs on site charts ready for destruction
- Ability to interface with support departments and articulate issues and concerns.
- Maintains a working knowledge of creating, scanning, and filing batches in ICS
- Transports office mail from post office to MAP location
- Prepares satellite office location bags
Physical/Mental Demands: High levels of mental concentration are required.Must handle multiple tasks simultaneously and subject to interruptions.Physical effort requires sitting for long periods of time, repetitive movements, ability to lift 20 lbs, stoop/ squat, reach above shoulder level and climb.
