What you will do
The Manager of Medical Education is responsible for the Spine Division’s national and/or international surgeon educational programs. This individual will lead the approaches to drive educational initiatives aligned with the business objectives. This role collaborates cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Legal and Compliance departments along with our cross-divisional partners to ensure a first-rate learning experience.
- Continuously look for excellence in the development in Medical Education offering
- Develop new methods to increase effectiveness including online education and applications
- Mentor team members toward excellence
- Define desired communications outcomes consistent with Medical Education strategy
- Manage KOL network as well as “up and coming” thought leaders
- Anticipate development of new Medical Education platform, analyze needs and priorities based on business needs and budget allocation
- Foster and lead team collaboration with broader Medical Education/product marketing/sales training, etc
- Lead team and drive collaboration with key opinion leaders to design educational materials
- Significant industry-related experience demonstrating the ability to problem-solve, manage projects, people and prioritize their workload
- Set direction and shape future needs for a Medical Education program
- Develop and execute Medical Education strategies based on data/input following program execution
- Articulate a communication strategy per media channels impacts
- Manage resources that will create and deliver an annual educational strategy
- Develop and adapt Medical Education programs to customer needs and business priorities
- Manage Medical Education offering in accordance with P&L requirement
- Actively participate to the long-term vision of the department
- Product and procedural expertise related to HCP education programs
- Define plan and prioritize investments
- Develop and support strategy and vision (short to long term)
What you need
- 8+ years of work experience required
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal communications skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- 2+ years of people management experience preferred
- 5+ years medical device or Medical Education experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines

$95,100 - $204,000 salary plus bonus eligible + Benefits (Health, Vision, Dental, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Assistance Program, Wellbeing Program, Employee Stock Purchase Program). This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position based on current national data. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location.
