Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and professional support/sales associate ready to learn new products, new systems and new regulations while working with an established team in a medical device manufacturing and sales environment. A successful candidate will be detail oriented and flexible – a straight-salaried team player within a small company continually striving to exceed customer expectations.
Hours: 8:00 – 4:30 in person at our office in Aurora, Colorado.
Expectations:
- After a three-month review, our new hire will be able to adequately back up either the US or International Sales Manager.
- After a year, the associate will be familiar with pertinent medical device regulations and capable of interacting with potential and existing customers at medical device trade shows.
- After six weeks the candidate will have developed adequate knowledge to answer phones, enter simple orders, and to respond to customer questions.
Key Responsibilities
CUSTOMER SUPPORT – SALES
- Learn to recognize and include necessary country and customer documentation when selling to global and domestic customers.
- Respond and establish rapport with customers via phone or email regarding quotes, orders, questions and/or complaints.
- Build and maintain proactive relationships with end users and distributors.
- Accurately enter new customers and sales order details into CRM system according to established procedures.
LOGISTICS
- Work with the shipping department on necessary aspects of shipping logistics.
- Per customer request, suggest and quote multiple shipping options for large domestic and international orders.
- ·Coordinate with outside freight companies, establishing pickups, deliveries and creating shipper’s letter of instruction (SLI) for all international shipments as required.
- Work with the shipping department to ensure large international and domestic orders are properly delivered.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Assist where needed in the ongoing operations of the company.
Corporate Responsibilities
- Be aware of potential safety hazards and follow precautionary measures to ensure safe work practices.
- Maintain confidentiality with company product formulations and procedures. (Sign Confidentiality Clause)
- Support all FDA QSR regulations and ISO 13485 requirements.
- Maintains good attendance and punctuality and an acceptable level of performance.
- Supports goals and quality objectives of the company.
- Generally, support all employees and all quality issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts, supporting and implementing new ideas.
- Believes and instills the company values of respect, responsibility, integrity, safety and community. (Review and sign Core Values document)
- Train and cross-train as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
Competence
Skills
- Multi-lingual a plus.
- Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Essential to this job are strong people skills and a positive attitude willing to constantly learn and contribute to a team.
- Computer knowledge -- familiarity or capability to quickly learn software necessary for sales including NetSuite, Microsoft Office Suite along with ability to trouble shoot simple computer and network problems.
- Able to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Lift 20 pounds.
Experience
- 2 to 5 years experience in sales and logistics, preferably a medical devices or other regulated customer support and sales environment.
- NetSuite experience a plus.
Qualifications
- College degree preferred.
