Responsibilities
- Please Note: This position requires you to sit on-site at two of our Georgia clinic locations (Sandy Springs and one near the airport). This position requires frequent driving and occasional house call visits of patients.
The Supervisor, Medical Assistants supervises a regional team of medical assistants who perform clinical duties as part of provider house call and telemedicine programs. Responsibilities include ensuring medical assistants follow proper procedures including gathering medical supplies, driving providers to treat patients, and delivering patient care. Collaborates closely with operations to ensure support and with providers including Physicians and Nurse Practitioners to coordinate care. Decisions are typically are related to scheduling, planning and daily operations. Performs escalated or more complex work of a similar nature, and supervises a group of medical assistants; coordinates and provides day-to-day oversight to associates. Ensures consistency in execution across team. Holds team members accountable for following established policies.
Required Qualifications
- 1 - 5 years of direct MA leadership experience.
- Must be a team player with excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience in delivering patient care in home, virtual settings
- Technically savvy including experience using iPads for charting.
- Hands-on professional Phlebotomy experience.
- Medical Assistant Certification
- Reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance, and a clean driving record through DMV.
- Experience in a fast pace/high volume environment.
- Ability to travel to multiple site locations.
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
- 2 - 4 years of Medical Assistant experience in 'back-office' direct patient care.
- This role is part of Humana's Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HEDIS measures
- Certified Phlebotomist
- Bilingual
Additional Information
Vaccine Policy
Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field.
