Medical Assistant Dermatology Technician Program

Are you an individual looking to step into the health care field specializing in dermatology as a Medical Assistant? Skincare Doctors (Skin and Aesthetic Centers) is partnering with an accredited online Medical Assistant program specializing in Dermatology to provide externship in practice and completion of the certification exam. You will have the opportunity to work with our current staff and providers to expand your experience working in Aesthetics and Dermatology

• Online program composed of various modules offering structured classes over the course of 5 weeks
• Completion by passing certification exam

Responsibilities during the MA program:

• Supply ordering & inventory
• Clean and sterilize instruments
• Obtain and update the complete patient history and chief complaint
• Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
• Provide and reinforce patient education following procedures and office visits
• Set up for select procedures including biopsies, surgical procedures
• Greet incoming patients and escort them to exam rooms
• Dispose of garbage and medical waste material
• Handle all duties in a timely manner
• Review and follow posted OSHA instructions/requirements including hazardous waste, needle stick injuries, emergency evacuations, etc.
• Assist providers with medical & cosmetic procedures
• Clean, organize and supply patient rooms

Qualifications:

• Customer Service Preferred
• High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
