Medical Assistant (Diabetes)
Our MA's (Diabetes) are passionate about providing quality patient care to Chapa-De patients within our health centers and plays a key role in the planning and implementation of the health care delivery system.
Job Duties

• Responsible for ensuring retinal screenings are performed annually for patients with diabetes by identifying, contacting and scheduling a retinal screen.
• Proactively assist the Registered Nurses (RN), Registered Dieticians (RD) and Lifestyle Coaches (LC) by obtaining vital signs/screenings.
• Perform finger stick HbA1c testing on patients.

Required Experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID - 19 vaccine before date of hire to be considered for employment.
• Current BLS Certified CPR certificate.
• Medical Assistant with certificate of completion from an accredited Medical Assisting Program.
