Bloomberg LP has built a significant media business spanning television, digital, magazine, radio and live event platforms across the globe. In the midst of a historic time in the media industry.

The Media Data Analyst role in the Commercial Sales group at Bloomberg Media is a sales support position with the aim of meeting the demands of our clients and maximizing ad revenues. The individual in this role will work closely with sales and sales support teams to enable audience targeting, perform analysis and explain the results. The types of analytical needs include building probabilistic audiences for targeting using machine learning, generating insights on our key audiences and carrying out tasks such as determining what drives performance for campaigns.

In general, the role involves working with a wide variety of data and tools to perform data analysis and modeling as well as effectively communicating findings to non-data savvy individuals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Use statistical modeling and machine learning to build models for audience targeting
• Collaborate with individuals in sales, sales support and external clients to develop an understanding of the analytical needs for ad campaigns, perform analytical tasks and communicate insights to the media team
• Use SQL to run analysis and prepare data for modeling
• Present the results of analysis to non-data savvy audiences and think about how data can be used creatively to solve business problems and help the commercial team
• Communicate effectively with the sales team to understand client's campaign objectives and audience targeting needs
• Stay current in the latest ad tech developments and trends

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree
• GREAT inter-personal communication skills
• Understanding of the Media industry and landscape
• An analytics aptitude

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with SQL, BigQuery, data mining, mathematics, statistical analysis and machine learning
• Two or more years of experience in the media industry
• Interest in the latest trends and advancements in Data Science
• Bachelor's degree in STEM major

Salary Range: 70,000 - 85,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
