The Role:


Dormify is looking for a Marketplace Manager. This position will be accountable for managing Dormify’s external marketplace business (Amazon, Walmart, Macy’s, etc.) and integrations for marketplace channels, with the goal of driving sales growth and improving overall performance through catalog maintenance, content enhancement, customer experience, marketing/advertising, and maintaining operational efficiency. The Marketplace Manager will focus on contributing to the overall marketplace strategy, maintaining catalog and performance compliance and metrics, identifying business growth opportunities, improvement of operations and account & listing health metrics, and managing relationships with key third-party marketplace partners and agencies.


Responsibilities:


  • Audit and monitor marketplaces to troubleshoot assortment, pricing, and fulfillment issues on existing product listings and identify and manage resolution.
  • Communicate and collaborate with the Director of Marketplace Operations, warehouse operations, and customer service on any related tasks and ensure a high level of customer experience is delivered.
  • Maintain a willingness to perform any additional tasks to accomplish teamwide goals.
  • Conduct and analyze weekly reporting to identify actionable insights, using data, to uncover trends, liabilities, risks and growth opportunities through content enhancement, unique assortment, and customer service.
  • Assist Director of Marketplace Operations in marketplace integrations and set up.
  • Develop the strategic vision for Amazon, Walmart, Macy’s, and other 3rd party marketplace businesses by establishing actionable plans that contribute to the overall objectives, and delivering on financial plans for the marketplace channel.
  • Develop and maintain vendor and marketplace partner relationships to grow the business via weekly, monthly, and quarterly business review meetings.
  • Assess and develop plans to launch on other marketplaces.
  • Collaborate with the product development/merchandising team and Director of Marketplace Marketing and Merchandising on the curation of assortment, launching new items, applying promotions, as well as working to ensure Dormify's existing product listings are well-represented and in stock.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, customer service, IT, marketing, and merchandising to identify and proactively resolve issues and drive the success of Dormify's products in marketplace channels.
  • Analyze customer feedback and trends to improve category strategies, product assortments, and go after marketing, fulfillment, and pricing optimization opportunities.
  • Actively monitor, analyze, and report on the business and marketplace industry trends.


Qualifications:


  • 3-4 years of experience in Marketplace Account Management / Ecommerce Category Management.
  • Strong comprehensive understanding of PowerPoint, Excel, and analytical tools.
  • Ability to adapt quickly with a strong sense of urgency and demonstrate effectiveness with decision making, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of ecommerce operations, merchandising, and marketing gained through progressive experience.
  • Strong understanding of Amazon and Walmart Seller Centrals (familiarity with Mirakl is a plus), with experience in driving sales growth and improving performance in all channels.
  • Experienced in managing strategy and growth of marketplace/ecommerce businesses with a multi-million dollar P&L.
  • A motivated self-starter who is highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and build efficient processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in a business-related field.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to measure and report on performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Committed to customer centricity with an eagerness to deliver products, services, and excellent experiences to create customer satisfaction, loyalty and advocacy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Display a positive attitude, professional manner, and a willingness to be a team player and assist team members at all levels.

Salary Range for this role is $70,000 - $100,000 dependent upon experience.
