Job Description

When you join Verizon

Verizon is one of the world’s leading providers of technology and communications services, transforming the way we connect across the globe. We’re a diverse network of people driven by our shared ambition to shape a better future. Here, we have the ability to learn and grow at the speed of technology, and the space to create within every role. Together, we are moving the world forward – and you can too. Dream it. Build it. Do it here.

What you’ll be doing…

This Marketing Manager role will develop strategy, plan and execute demand generation programs to grow market share and revenue in key consumer segments. The position will collaborate with Market Hub marketing and local sales teams to develop segment specific positioning and value propositions to drive brand awareness and demand. Act as a subject matter expert for segments (example Latino) to help develop impactful messaging that differentiates our products/solutions in the marketplace.

  • Driving market-wide programs to deliver segment specific gross adds, product growth and revenue within the local markets.
  • Managing the relevant metrics and reporting progress/status to market leadership.
  • Shaping strategies and will evaluate the customer experience and lifecycle touchpoints.
  • Developing, executing, and implementation of marketing strategy and/or marketing programs (e.g., marketing campaigns.)
  • Working cross functionally with teams to develop market programs.
  • Creating and communicating initiatives to drive channel, program and segment performance.

What we are looking for . . .

A team player who can navigate across cross-functional teams, identify key stakeholders, and balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. A key go-to-person for updates and status on all segment marketing initiatives. The ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, sales leadership, operations, and product management to determine the optimum positioning and differentiation strategies. This role is highly visible and cross-functional, requiring frequent communication with market leadership.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Two or more years of experience in marketing or related fields.
  • Three or more years of project management experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Additional hub locations outside market’s headquarters are open, but must be within the defined market footprint.
  • A strong drive for results and the ability to manage multiple initiatives at one time and meet deadlines.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Written and verbal fluency in Spanish.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives at the same time.
  • Experience with marketing research, research strategy, or consumer research methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cross-functional problem solving based on trends and issues.

If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.

When you join Verizon...

You’ll be doing work that matters alongside other talented people, transforming the way people, businesses and things connect with each other. Beyond powering America’s fastest and most reliable network, we’re leading the way in cloud and security solutions, Internet of Things and video entertainment. Of course, we will offer you great pay and benefits, but we’re about more than that. Verizon is a place where you can craft your own path to greatness. Whether you think in code, words, pictures or numbers, find your future at Verizon.

Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
