Description: We’re looking for a Marketing Director to join our Consumer GTM team! The ideal leader for this role is equal parts strategic and creative and can seamlessly translate our consumer segment and product strategy into global integrated marketing plans. You always start with the customer, have a strong process and methodology for identifying what makes a product or feature great, and how to package that up in a clear, compelling way for our end-to-end product and marketing experiences. You’ll partner with product, marketing, creative and comms leaders to perfect your plans and strategies and build a world-class product launch engine for the PayPal consumer business.

  • Nice to have - knowledge of the FinTech ecosystem and the key players within the market
  • Passion for customer-centric strategy, with experience in generating qualitative and quantitative insights and using those insights to inform marketing strategies.
  • Define the scale of Consumer facing GTM efforts - Are we simply updating a blog post and announcing on social, or do we go all out above the line across all channels?
  • Strong executive presence – you know how to sell in an idea, clearly communicate key takeaways, and get your point of view or strategy across flawlessly - whether it’s written, spoken, or in a PowerPoint slide.
  • Partner closely with geo marketing leads to ensure global rollouts are locally relevant, resonant, and aligned to business priorities and outcomes
  • Team player and who knows how to walk through walls and make friends along the way. You can lead a matrixed team from idea inception through to a successful finish.
  • Strong leadership and ability to inspire the broader team and build a world class culture
  • What You’ll Do

    • Develop Marketing GTM strategies for new products and features that translates our consumer segment strategy and competitive strengths into plans that drive customer and financial growth.

    • Define the scale of Consumer facing GTM efforts - Are we simply updating a blog post and announcing on social, or do we go all out above the line across all channels?

    • Be the champion of “Why PayPal?” across the business – developing competitive and differentiated positioning and messaging, and ensuring it’s applied across our entire customer journey

    • Develop consumer facing creative and content playbooks and toolkits for product and feature updates or releases for our consumer segment.

    • Partner closely with geo marketing leads to ensure global rollouts are locally relevant, resonant, and aligned to business priorities and outcomes

    • Establish strong relationships with Product, Analytics, Commercial Growth, Comms, Lifecycle Marketing, Geo Marketing, Creative & Media, and other cross-functional groups to enable collaboration and communication across groups.

    • Lead and scale a winning team. Nurture a strong team of marketers who are strategic leaders and execution machines, and who can act as the voice of our customers and driver growth.

    What You’ll Bring

    • 10-15+ years experience in product marketing, go-to-market strategy, and/or integrated marketing.

Actual Compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to work location, and relevant skills and experience.

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $118700 to $246290
