Paladin is now LHH Recruitment Solutions! We are partnering with our Portland, OR non-profit client to recruit a Marketing and Communications Manager to join their team on a permanent, hybrid basis in the Portland area. This is a new role open due to growth and success of the organization's awareness and engagement campaigns. As the newest member of this team, you will be responsible for driving omnichannel awareness and development campaigns with an emphasis on scaling their digital capabilities. You will write, edit and optimize content with cross-functional internal teams, work with media outlets, own digital marketing efforts, and support other similar projects for the department. This team is looking for a minimum of 3-5+ years of marketing and communications experience in the non-profit industry or similar cause-driven spaces. Excellent digital marketing aptitude and writing/editing skills are a must in this role, and portfolio samples will be requested during the process.

Compensation for this role is heavily dependent on years of experience and relevant industry experience, but ranges between $70,000 and $85,000, with potential flexibility for a more-senior candidate in the industry. You will:
- Own digital marketing and communications channels for the organization, running social media, email and other digital campaigns to drive awareness for the organization's work; Aid in developing KPIs, benchmarks and other analysis for campaigns, supporting the organization's continued investment in digital
- Write, edit and optimize long and short-form content for campaigns, working with internal and external resources, subject matter experts and teams to distill complex information into public-facing awareness campaigns for a variety of audiences
- Support other marketing and communications initiatives and programs, as needed
- Oversee media relations work, serving as a spokesperson for the organization as necessary and driving continued visibility to the work and the mission
Your experience should include:
- 3-5+ years of marketing and communications experience with a deep knowledge of digital campaigns, writing, editing and media relations
- Track record of strategic experience with the ability to both develop and execute on projects autonomously
- A deep passion for mission-driven MarCom work
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Proficiency in relevant digital tools, including social media platforms and technology (Hootsuite or similar), Google Analytics, CMS platforms and email marketing tools
- Experience in the non-profit space, highly preferred; Additional relevant industry experience may include sustainability, social justice, politics or similar
