Manufacturing Quality Engineer

JOB SUMMARY: The primary responsibilities of a Manufacturing Quality Engineer is to drive reduction of scrap and rework and ensuring customer requirement compliance.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: This position reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager
- Able to solve complex problems; makes decisions based on analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Strong attention to detail
- Other duties as assigned
- Highly self-motivated with demonstrated problem solving skills
- Inspection and test methodologies preferred
- Familiarity in aerospace manufacturing processes and requirements
- Advanced knowledge of Quality, manufacturing engineering processes and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion.
- Familiarity with and understanding of aerospace bearing materials and machining processes
- Demonstrate analytical skills to proactively identify and solve problems
- Ability to exercise a high degree of independent judgment.
- Proficient at blueprint reading, engineering drawing interpretation and tolerancing
- Experience/familiarity with AS9100/ISO9001 quality standards
SKILLS REQUIRED/Education:
4-6 years of quality and manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace environment
1-2 years of experience in a machining environment. Preference, grinding, turning and assembly
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to prioritize and produce results in a fast paced manufacturing environment
Ability to be flexible and work closely with Engineering (all), Leaders, Technicians,
Operators and Set Up personnel.
Demonstrated ability to interface well with customers
Highly self motivated and able to work independently
PAY RANGE: $74,979.00 to $112,469.00 DOE
Note: Physical job requirements may include standing, use of hands to assemble and or carry out job functions as well as sitting, lifting, carrying, bending and stooping during the course of the job.
Ability to lift 40 lbs.
