The Role
Remote with Mandatory Travel. The Manufacturing Process Lead on the External Manufacturing team will be a key member of the organization assisting with the directing and managing of production operations of Congo Brand’s RTD, RTE and Sports Nutrition external manufacturers. Total SKUs across these product lines exceeds 100 with annual spend on pace to be over $1B for 2023. This role is highly collaborative as it will partner with third-party manufacturers, raw material suppliers, and internal stake holders across all departments. The external manufacturing team will be responsible for meeting performance metrics in quality, cost management, inventory availability, and turnover.
Key Responsibilities

• Ensure ongoing product quality within co-manufacturing facilities.
• Aid sites in effective root cause analysis to ensure continuous production and overall efficiency improvements.
• Communicate daily with internal stakeholders ensuring everyone has a full understanding of production metrics and information.
• Provide onsite manufacturing, quality, and regulatory support and product expertise to vendor and co-manufacturers during site, product, and process onboarding.
• Qualify new products, packaging materials, and processes within current and future co-manufacturing and vendor supply sites.
• Play a key role in relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Participate as a key member of the team to ensure the supply chain is capable of meeting forecasted production.
• Collect production information during site visits to understand long term trends and data analytics to aid in production planning and forecasting.

Key Skills And Experience Required

• Ability to travel as needed.
• Travel Requirements: Approximately 75% - 100% of the year.
• Experience with NetSuite a plus.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience at a CPG company or other related industry.
• Excellent collaborator and relationship builder; internal and external.
• Excellent planning, root cause analysis/problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Supply chain management, vendor relations and production planning.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging/Engineering, or Business-related fields.
• Has a demonstrated passion that align with the core values of Congo Brands.
