Summary:
The North Creek Manufacturing Facility at Seagen is seeking a Manufacturing Associate III to participate in cGMP activities in upstream production. The Associate will use their training and knowledge of biopharmaceutical manufacturing to execute operations in a cGMP facility.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Provide training to other Manufacturing Associates in group and individual settings
- Escalate equipment or process issues as necessary to ensure appropriate corrective action and resolution
- Primary areas of responsibility include raw material dispensing, assembly and movement of raw materials and equipment into staging or production areas, preparation of media and buffers, preparation and sterilization of parts and assemblies, stocking of materials and supplies
- Participate and support a culture of continual improvement. Effectively collaborate with cross functional partners such as Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Supply Chain, and Facilities to achieve continuous improvement goals
- Familiarity of process automation and business quality systems (QMS, Maximo, and ERP software)
- Provide shift updates and support to the Manufacturing team(s) to meet production demand
- Perform bioprocess unit operations such as filtration, cell culture and harvest as described in standard operating procedures and manufacturing batch records
- Perform review of cGMP documentation
- Setup, maintenance, and use of cGMP equipment as directed by standard operating procedures and manufacturing batch records
Expected Qualifications:
- Good organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to prioritize competing tasks
- 5 plus years of cGMP experience
- Excellent track record in aseptic technique at different process scales
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Handle and work with hazardous materials and chemical per standard operating procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Demonstrated knowledge of cGMP regulations
- Demonstrated working knowledge of process control, manufacturing execution and enterprise resource planning systems
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Life Sciences or Engineering, or Associate’s degree preferably in Life Sciences or a technical program, or High School Diploma with Biotech certificate from an approved program desirable
- Must be able to work weekends, off-shifts, and overtime as required. Applicant must be willing and able to work reliably on a flexible schedule, Monday – Friday and some weekends, to meet the demands of the project(s)
- Hands-on experience operating and maintaining cGMP equipment
- Ability to lift at least 20kg.
- Engages in and supports a culture of continual improvement; is attentive and approachable
- Must be able to don gowning in the form of hospital scrub, gloves, safety glasses/goggles, coveralls and safety toe footwear with shoe covers multiple times per shift
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in a scientific discipline (life sciences / engineering)

The hiring pay range for this position is $80,000 to $103,400 per year based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role. Other components of total compensation include a competitive equity grant at the time of hire (with additional annual grants, and grants upon promotion when applicable), and an annual bonus.
