• About This Opportunity

Responsibilities:

The Manager Renewable Energy will support the Senior Manager Deregulated Utilities in developing and implementing the company's renewable energy strategy. This role will will work closely with internal stakeholders and 7-Eleven's Greenhouse Gas reporting vendor to successfully manage its sustainability program.

• Successful delivery of all activities related to achieving company Scope 1 & 2 sustainability goals
• Support design of energy procurement strategies that minimize cost, risk, and enable renewable integration
• Support contract negotiations with external partners in collaboration with internal Legal, Finance, Accounting, Treasury, and Tax teams
• Work across all functional areas of the business to continually identify opportunities to reduce the business carbon footprint
• Analyze and prepare business case justification for investment in renewable strategies
• Ensure strong communication and coordination with Sustainable Project Developers and Utilities, ensuring that Parties conform to all contractual requirements and other obligations

Qualifications:

• Strong technical knowledge of greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting, climate action planning, emissions reduction strategies, and climate and community resiliency practices.
• Education: Bachelors/4 year degree
• Proven experience leading initiatives related to renewables or sustainability projects, power procurement, infrastructure development
• Experience: 8-10 years, energy/finance analytics, project economic analysis
