Responsibilities
The Quality Control Manager position will oversee, and contribute to, the testing of biological materials and products in an FDA-regulated, cGMP manufacturing operation. The primary responsibilities for this position will be to supervise all aspect of the quality control operations.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in a biomedical related field (biology, chemistry/biochemistry, laboratory medicine, etc.) with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience in quality control with supervisory responsibilities, or an equivalent combination of an advanced degree and relevant experience. Experience working in and complying with a cGMP environment is required.
Additional Qualifications
Five years or more experience managing a multi-project QC unit with staff of differing professional levels and experience. Must have the ability to lead, motivate and influence others. Knowledge of federal regulations 21 CFR Part 210, 211 as it pertains to cGMP, and other guidance pertinent to the testing of biologics under cGMP. Minimum of 5 years experience in industry performing related tasks. In addition, must include demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment with physician, scientist, educator, administrative, supervisory, and allied health staff. Exceptional human relations and communication (written, verbal and listening) skills are required.
