Your role at Clorox:
The role of the Quality Control Operations Manager involves overseeing and providing guidance to the personnel responsible for Quality Control Operations. This position also involves interacting with the FDA and other governmental representatives during plant audits when required. Additionally, the manager plays a role in aiding the facility's participation in audits conducted by customers and regulatory agencies.
In this role, you will:
  • Direct supervisory responsibility including the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward or discipline subordinate employees or effectively recommend such actions.
  • Review and approve packaging instructions, QC Standard Operation Procedures and manufacturing & packaging batch records.
  • Manage the finished product release process and team.
  • Coordinate and communicate with Lab Services and QA as required to maintain departmental operations.
  • Coordinate and communicate with appropriate personnel regarding sampling, room release, in-process checks and finished product release as per manufacturing and packaging schedule.
  • Ensure that new personnel are trained in all proper procedures required for the performance of the specific job duties assigned.
  • Manage and lead a team of Quality Control Operations personnel.
  • Interface with FDA and other government officials during plant audits as necessary and assists during customer and regulatory agency audits of the facility.
  • Supervise handling of rejected materials concerning products manufactured or packaged by the Company and ensure that all rejected product is properly identified, logged and stored in designated areas.
What we look for:
  • Familiar with SAP ERP software to manage raw materials and finished products dispositions
  • A strong comprehension of 21 CFR Part 111 is greatly favored.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and superior organizational abilities.
  • 5+ years professional Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, or a related technical field.
  • Quality Control and/or GMP certification is preferred
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Nutraceutical industry experience is preferred
  • Microsoft Office proficiency including Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with FDA and international Quality System rules, regulations, including planning and implementation.
Physical Demands:
  • Objects weighing 70 pounds or more must be accompanied by a second individual to avoid injury.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear. Occasional lifting of light items required. No specific vision requirements.

The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
–Zone A: $86,600 - $161,900
–Zone B: $79,400 - $148,400
–Zone C: $72,100 - $134,900
