Position Summary:
Responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the staff engaged in fulfilling the goals and objectives of the F&B function. Develop sourcing strategies for major F&B items in North America, whilst building partnerships with internal customers and local Government to lower the Company¿s overall cost. Develop & manage supplier base globally to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedule. Accountable for short and long term planning and strategizing for assigned commodities with approximate $200M spend.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build on current rebate programs, which includes, tracking purchases, calculating rebate and invoicing, which results in approximately $500,000 annual savings.
- Develop & implement purchasing strategies for all F&B items with internal customers local Government representatives in North America. Responsible for reviewing the pricing specifications, availability, quality and logistics on local manufactured items.

- Lead cost savings initiative on all F&B commodities. Collaborate with RCL Brands and Commodity Managers to identify and implement sourcing opportunities on new and existing products. Analyze the data and present findings to Supply Chain and Hotel Ops leadership..
- Provide comprehensive training and guidance to F&B commodity managers and buyers with respect to product specifications and market trends, negotiation strategies, as well as contractual terms and conditions.
- Manage beverage licensing agreements and multi-year contracts valued at approximately $25MM for RCI, Celebrity and Azamara. Responsible for tracking sales, calculating rebates, and overseeing service and equipment maintenance programs globally.
- Take an active role in RCL inventory process to ensure sourcing strategies are aligned with consumption patterns.
- Evaluate and measure newand existing suppliers. Ensuring on-time delivery performance, inventory level, and invoicing policies are maintained. Periodically conduct major supplier reviews.
- Develop and lead Supply Chain Management participation in the FCCA (Florida Caribbean Cruise Association), in collaboration with Government Relations, & member cruise lines. Participate in panel discussions relating to Port Development, and preparing manuals on how to become a supplier with member lines. Reviewing application forms and providing guidance to potential suppliers, with the goal of reducing port taxes, food & shipping cost whilst supporting the local economy.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Negotiation and analytical skills required.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from suppliers and all levels of staff and management, both shipboard and shoreside.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple projects and priorities.
- Bachelor¿s degree or equivalent required in related field.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management.
- Oversees a multi million dollar commodity spend. ($5-150 million)
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to travel domestic and internationally.
- 8 + years related procurement experience or specialized technical experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.
- $100,000 expenditure limit.
