Manager Of Elearning Jobs

Job Summary

The Manager of eLearning reports to the Director of IMT-Educational Communications and is guided by the University's Strategic Plan, Institutional Readiness Implementation Plan, and Distance Learning Policies & Procedures. Collaborates with university administrators and faculty in leading Upstate's distance learning initiatives. Consults with faculty, administration and student services in the development and management of policies and procedures that support learning and foster innovation in instruction. Strives to enhance the effective use of instructional technology to add value to learning and expand student access to Upstate's curricular offerings. Supervises eLearning staff. Serves as liaison to partner organizations in distance learning.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in education, instructional design, or a related field required. Three to five years leadership experience for distance learning. Demonstrated experience in instructional design, faculty development, or related field. Demonstrated experience with learning management systems (Brightspace, etc.). Demonstrated teaching experience. Demonstrated experience working with administration, faculty and students. Excellent ability to communicate and consult with faculty and technical staff. Excellent public relations and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently. Knowledge of emerging technologies utilized in synchronous and asynchronous learning. Ability to assess needs and make appropriate recommendations for staff development. Excellent skills with a range of software including current instructional development tools. Familiarity with interactive and traditional media.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters Degree in education, instructional design, or a related field preferred.

Monday-Friday, 8:00a-5:00p
