The Manager of Demand Planning oversees and directs a team of supply chain professionals that are focused on finished goods procurement, inventory management, and vendor management. Ultimately the Manager is responsible for supporting OAA operational, financial and business success through SCM strategy, while ensuring the effective management of Supply Chain resources. To this extent, the Manager will ensure that the Supply Chain team maximizes the business profits through the appropriate use of working capital in acquiring materials and optimizing the delivery of customer’s orders.

Responsibilities

  • Work on special projects such as, lean initiatives, training development, cross functional process improvement, etc
  • Develop and implement supply chain vision, goals, and strategies to support business objectives, enable profitable growth, and position the company’s supply chain as a competitive advantage across multiple areas and teams.
  • Lead Omron America’s Supply chain team through development and implementation of next generation forecasting tools and drive value creation through innovation.
  • Provide management and other departments with accurate, timely and informative reports that facilitate operations.
  • Work with internal customers to identify and address unmet needs by aligning procurement and business unit goals in a manner that deliver long term value.
  • Deliver cash generation objectives through inventory optimization across the Americas.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corporate initiatives, new product introductions and other inventory/purchasing initiatives.


Job Requirements

  • Three to 5 years’ supervisory experience and the proven ability to manage, motivate, mentor and coach personnel.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of Supply Chain experience
  • Strong analytical skills and proficient in Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field with CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
  • Documented experience and expertise using and overseeing a software-based forecasting, inventory management or ERP system.
  • Documented excellent verbal and written communications that ensures collaboration across departments and disciplines.
  • Proven ability to self-direct and work with a high sense of urgency.
