Our Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Division location in Lake Forest, IL. currently has an opportunity for a Senior Specialist Demand Planning reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Manager, Toxicology. The Sr. Specialist will manage the development of North America (US & Canada) commercial sales forecasts within the S&OP program.


What You’ll Do


  • S&OP Meetings: lead the monthly commercial demand management review to achieve approval of the consensus demand plan; support preparation for the monthly Toxicology Executive S&OP meeting
  • Product Availability: during periods of constrained inventory collaborate with supply chain to shape demand and implement allocation methods; serve as point of contact with commercial
  • Product Lifecycle Management: coordinate and support demand management across the product lifecycle (launch, retirement, phase-in/phase-out)
  • Forecast Generation: coordinate with sales, marketing, finance, regulatory affairs, and product development to deliver consensus demand forecasts; review historical sales trends and evaluate use of statistical forecasts
  • Forecast Accuracy: track monthly forecast error KPI, complete root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and promote forecast process improvements
  • Lead the monthly S&OP consensus demand planning process for North America (US & Canada) commercial
  • Financial Integration: support the monetization of S&OP volume forecasts for comparison to financial planning sales benchmarks (e.g. LBE, PLAN) in dollars; reconcile key assumptions
  • Master Data/Systems: support set-up and maintenance of master data, manage forecasts in the ATLAS Planning system


Required


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING


  • MS Excel intermediate level skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a field that includes quantitative analysis (e.g. Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Supply Chain, natural sciences) or related field
  • At least 4-6 years product sales forecasting, demand management or supply chain planning experience


Preferred


  • Experience in healthcare product industry (e.g. diagnostic, medical device, pharmaceutical)
  • Project management in a matrix organizational environment
  • Experience with forecasting or supply chain planning software (e.g. Atlas Planning, QlikView, SAP, SAGE, Power BI)
  • Exposure to Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) or Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
  • Strong data analysis and model-building skills using MS Excel and Power BI
