Consolidations Analyst Jobs

Assist in the preparation of consolidated income statement variance analyses and other internal financial review documents for Management.

Ability to manage multiple projects and financial responsibilities to meet goals and objectives

Manage employee and assign/delegate requests and procedures.

Manage offshore Hyperion Administration Team during the month end close process and ongoing project development and testing.

Respond and support inquiries from teams outside Corporate Accounting, including Finance, Treasury, Tax, and Internal Audit.

Support system integration projects related to changing business requirements, including mergers/acquisitions and restructuring, including currency translation calculations.

Manager, Finance- Consolidations & Strategy

Prepare various divisional finance reports to Disney Entertainment Television Finance team and ABC News Executives

Develop dashboards and reports that manage financial challenges and divisional headcount

Create new and upgrade existing models and processes to analyze cost centers and accounts and drive efficiencies within the Finance team

Direct the ABC News Finance team on cost treatment to align with Disney Data Dictionary

Finance business partner for overhead and executive cost centers such as Marketing, Public Relations, Talent Development, etc.

Strong attention to, and management of detail.

In-depth proficiency in aspects of accounting and finance and knowledge of US GAAP is required.

Manager, R&D Program Finance Close & Consolidations

Work with Finance and Accounting Teams to oversee the financial close. This includes expense accruals, and budget vs. actual variance analysis.

Collaborate with senior members of the FP&A team to manage the annual planning calendar.

Independently manage multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment with a high level of precision.

Consolidations Accounting Manager responsibilities include:

Manage the monthly consolidations process, including setting the close calendar, daily close status reporting and elimination process

At least 5 years of experience

Experience in general ledger accounting consolidations of multiple entities

Responsible for the compilation of consolidated balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows, and the internal financial reporting package

Coordinate with external auditors to ensure that all support is provided for monthly review and year-end audit

A minimum of three years finance or related business experience is required.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, or related is required.

Strong influencing, communication and framing skills are required.

Provide support to Therapeutic Areas and Functions for Business Reviews, close/forecast cycles, and ad hoc requests.

Support and lead SigniFi related efforts as needed.

Act as a liaison with the JRD organization on C&H related activities, when needed.

Prepare dynamic messages for different audiences including corporate management and other high-level executives

Experience as a reciprocal teammate who possesses social and organizational abilities

Partner with Disney’s Benefits operations, accounting, and external partners to forecast and communicate Disney’s Benefits financials to business units

Support/engage segment finance teams to understand Corporate overhead allocations

Possess strong quantitative and analytical skills

Excellent communication skills in both oral and written settings

Educate and help 401(k) participants to better understand the benefits of consolidating their retirement assets into their JH 401(k)

Share successful education and process improvement ideas in a team environment

Proactively share knowledge to ensure team objectives are met

Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on Business and/or Finance

Some financial services industry experience preferred

Ability to efficiently promote the benefits of the program and the services we provide

Strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent communication and analytical skills

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes by completing assigned analyses and functions.

Prepare and record monthly journal entries related to cash, intercompany loans, and third-party debt.

Assist with analyzing monthly financial results to report on variances versus prior periods.

Assist with reconciling third party sales and cost of sales.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

Manages projects from beginning to end.

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or related discipline

Experience in a complex legal entity environment in a global organization

Previous experience in an SAP environment

Supervisory experience of people and/or projects/process initiatives

Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, Professional Solutions, this position manages a team of 3 – 4.

Provide financial guidance to align and track targets against actuals and partner with various Corporate, Regional and Functional Finance Leads.

Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and SOX reporting.

10+ years related experience to include preparing financial statements, business activity reports and financial position forecasts and variance analysis.
