Job Description
The Manager, Billing & Operations owns the accounting and transaction reporting from the sale of all products under revenue recognition (ASC 606). They ensure that the quote to cash process is seamless and oversee collections to maintain a healthy cash flow.


OUTCOMES


  • Manage the Quote to Cash process including order processing, invoicing, and collections
  • Serve as a contact for external auditors and consultants to ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies
  • Maintain documentation for accounting processes and policies and update as changes occur; identify and implement accounting process and system improvements
  • Provide weekly report on cash collections, and resolution status of past due accounts
  • Oversee support provided to internal and external customers, identifying areas for improved efficiency of knowledge management
  • Manage staff of 3, including work allocation, training, and problem resolution. Evaluate performance and make recommendations for personnel actions
  • Perform and/or review monthly fluctuation analysis to identify potentially unrecorded entries or unusual trends and communicate with management
  • Manage the revenue monthly close process, ensuring that deadlines established by management are met consistently while ensuring reported results are accurate and in compliance with GAAP.
  • Interpret custom customer amendments to track and apply appropriate billing and revenue recognition schedules
  • Prepare and/or review balance sheet reconciliations and related journal entries, ensuring that they are completed on a timely basis, contain adequate information and support, and have no major unknown reconciling items; assist with reconciliations as needed and review and approve reconciliations
  • Maintain and improve upon AR metrics to ensure healthy cash flow
  • Work towards scaling, automation and continuous improvement of AR and revenue processes
  • Provide world-class customer service to internal and external customers (i.e., Sales, FP&A, External Audit, SFDC Admin, Billing Team)
  • Work with internal parties on order/provisioning related questions


What You’ll Bring


  • Working knowledge of Zuora and Salesforce preferable
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects
  • Has led teams or cross-functional initiatives with success
  • Commercial revenue environment, preferably in high-tech SaaS environment
  • 4 years of billing and operations experience with at least 1 year of management experience

The US new hire base salary range for this full-time role is $95,000-$108,000 + bonus or commissions + equity + benefits.


Note that base salary ranges are reviewed each year based on up-to-date market data, and team members who are performing are eligible for a merit increase, budget permitting.
