Red Bull gives wings to people and ideas. In this role, you will enable our athletes to progress in their sport and fulfill their dreams, reporting directly to Sr. Manager, Sports Marketing. You will bring the global brand of Red Bull to life on a regional level through athletes, athlete projects, and athlete marketing initiatives. You will build and control Red Bull’s presence in the region’s sports universe by leveraging branded athletes as tools to expand the consumer base and create clear brand points of differentiation.
ATHLETE MARKETING
- Negotiate athlete agreements and contracts – including performance expectations and goals, retainer, bonus, branding rights, availability, schedule, and usage rights
- Create a marketing, communication, and performance plan for each managed athlete
- Work with athlete’s “circle of trust” and partners to create additional outcome and opportunities to extend the product and brand message
- Conceptualize and implement innovative and “sport-changing” athlete projects that bring the athlete and brand personality to life through comprehensive consumer outcome
- Find new talent and ensure the best US athletes are on the radar and poised to be on the roster
- Proactively leverage and use international athletes traveling and competing in the regionPartner with Regional Sports Marketing and Sports Event Marketing teams to operate a "Friends of Red Bull” program with important opinion leaders in the region’s sports universe that builds an authentic product and brand connection
- Set individual athlete goals and target outcomes aligned with international and national sports marketing strategy
- Promote external communication of branded and on-message athlete stories through collaboration with internal partners communications, digital, and Red Bull Media House – across multiple platforms – editorial communications, social media, and partners
- Plan, set, and control assigned budgets
- Create custom branding solutions for each managed athlete, driving ongoing design/visibility and execution
ATHLETE PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
- Recognize/evaluate athlete performance problems and propose solutions or termination plans
- Integrate appropriate and creative performance solutions to an athlete’s program
- Individually access and evaluate each managed athlete’s career plan and professional surroundings (trainers, coaches, agent, family, other team managers, terrain, off/on season, equipment, and innovations)
- Create realistic performance parameters for the term of each athlete agreement and track and evaluate the ongoing results
- Ensure each managed athlete is knowledgeable about product usage and the brand
- Track, evaluate and manage bi-annual sports and marketing goals with each athlete
- Implement baseline goal setting, planning, and performance management for each managed athlete
ADMIN/DAY TO DAY WORKFLOW
- Service athletes
- Collaborate and work in team environment with other AMMs, SMMs, and company partners
- Support region’s Sports Marketing Manager, team, and HQ Director of Athlete Marketing in building annual business plans
- Work with risk management and legal departments to facilitate all necessary agreements with outside parties according to Red Bull standards.
- Manage athlete budgets and assigned projects
Qualifications
- Background in planning, organizational, and project management competencies
- Can demonstrate – openness to new scenes, ideas, processes, innovation, and possibilities
- 3+ years sports marketing experience
- In-depth knowledge of sports management and sports industry
- Experience with exposure and involvement with multiple sport scenes and playgrounds

The base salary range for this position is $ 101,650 to $ 112,350 + cash incentives.
Actual salary offer may vary based on work experience.
The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
