Job Description

CreativeOPTIC is hiring for a Videographer to join our Content (hybrid) team based in Los Angeles, California.


As a videographer, you will ensure all CreativeOPTIC videos are produced accurately, and aligns with the CreativeOPTIC online presence. You will be collaborating closely with partners across the organization to plan, shoot, and edit various types of video content including our Marketing Manager, Social Media Manager, and key executives to heighten the look and feel of our brand content and drive user engagement through our content.


This role requires proficiency in camera operation, video editing software, understanding of framing/composition, lighting, and storytelling. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and mentorship in the field of videography, refine your videography skills, build a strong portfolio, and contribute to the success of our organization through the power of visual storytelling.

The Role:

The ideal candidate will be part cinematographer, video editor and visual story teller with a passion for the online social experience. This role requires stellar creativity, artistic vision and high creative acumen. The ability to hand in projects quickly, respond to constructive feedback in real time is a must.


The Environment:

CreativeOPTIC. is a 24-hour network which requires staff who are flexible and available to work various shifts, including early morning, late evenings, weekends and/or holidays.

Major Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate to understand the project's goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and emerging technologies in videography and online video content.
  • Set up cameras, lighting, and audio equipment for shoots.
  • Conduct quality control checks for audio and video consistency.
  • Capture high-quality video footage, paying attention to composition, exposure, and focus.
  • Direct talent and provide guidance for on-camera performances.
  • Ensure videos meet branding and style guidelines.
  • Edit video content using professional software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop creative concepts and storyboards.
  • Maintain an organized file structure for project assets.
  • Incorporate graphics, animations, and special effects when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with content distribution teams to optimize video content for online platforms.
  • Enhance video quality through color correction and grading.
  • Work closely with the creative team, including writers, producers, and graphic designers, to ensure a cohesive final product.
  • Monitor audio quality and adjust as necessary during recording.
  • Capture B-roll footage and supplementary shots as needed.
  • Cut and arrange footage to create a coherent narrative or message.
  • Edit audio, including sound mixing, voiceovers, and music selection.
  • Ability to create long-form and short-form video content for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok & Facebook
  • Archive and back up video files to prevent data loss.
  • Review and refine edited content to ensure it meets the project's objectives.



Qualifications:

  • Extraordinary research, organizational, and learning abilities
  • Working knowledge of the following technologies and software: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, Pro DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • A portfolio of professional video design work for both YouTube and Instagram
  • Strict adherence to brand guidelines and company policy
  • Understanding of video compression and export settings for various online platforms.
  • Ability to develop concepts into themes and apply a creative approach to video.
  • Ability to maintain high-quality video and audio standards during filming and editing.
  • Basic audio editing skills to improve sound quality.
  • A profound comprehension of what a technology audiences is and what excites tech enthusiasts visually
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven video, editing and social media experience (preferably B2B or Intern experience).
  • Awareness of audio recording techniques and equipment, including microphones and sound mixers.
  • Self motivated, positive, creative, innovative thinker and multi-tasker with the ability to prioritize and manage time strategically
  • Knowledge of basic lighting techniques to enhance the visual quality of videos.
  • A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years UI/UX design experience for digital products or services.
  • A team player but can work independently too.

This candidate will be responsible for building a clean and effective videos for our audience. By working cross-functionally, this candidate will understand needs from the audiences standpoint and will be able to build solutions that fit those needs.
