Maintenance Scheduler
Description
The role of the Maintenance Scheduler is to improve work force productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance resources, parts, materials, and equipment access. Key areas of support are maintaining the PM module of SAP, scheduling and coordinating shutdown work, and coordinating the work order system.
Responsibilities

• Plans sequence of maintenance work and/or projects scheduled using SAP plant maintenance system
• Prepares maintenance reports, schedules, work orders, work order modifications, graphs, and charts
• Enter requisitions in SAP
• Prepares schedules of preventative and predictive maintenance work, equipment and tool availability, and personnel hours required to complete each work order
• Compiles downtime lists to identify preventive maintenance priorities
• Track work order completion rate
• Create schedules for all safety meetings and training
• Assists with the tracking of jobs during down days
• Assists Manager in periodic analysis of cost trends with recommendations for continual improvement
• Maintains KRONOS system for Maintenance. This includes schedules and daily maintenance of the timecards
• Serves as the initial implementer of the plant SAP system
• Prepare routine job plans and investigate work requirements
• Uses the SAP Plant Maintenance computer system to manage maintenance work orders, equipment information, project scheduling, and tool inventory
• Participates in budget preparation, tracking and analysis
• Maintains equipment preventative maintenance records, project files, and other maintenance files as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or an average of 3 years equivalent experience not including years spent in education and/or training or equivalent job work history demonstrating proficiency in required skills and knowledge
• Maintenance spend tracking and control
• KPI tracking and reporting
• WO Backlog reporting
• Experience in building detailed job plans
• Scheduled Maintenance; timeline development, communication, startup coordination and post maintenance reviews.
• Working understanding of PM and PdM processes and associated reliability system activities including, but not limited to:
• Maintenance skills training scheduling

Competencies

• Proficiency at data entry and data processing (importing and exporting) in a CMMS and in Excel
• Commit to compliance with all environmental laws, regulations, standards, and other requirements such as site permits to operate.
• Technical knowledge of industrial mechanical and electrical systems, automation, and controls.
• Must be committed to protecting the safety and wellbeing of colleagues, customers, suppliers, and any individuals using our premises, by providing and maintaining a safe working environment that protects both the physical and mental wellbeing of myself and others.
• Identify, and eliminate, hazards; or where we cannot eliminate hazards, minimize risk as much as reasonably possible.
• Extensive use of a CMMS (SAP is preferred)
• Parts and services requisitioning process knowledge (SAP preferred)
• Demonstrate personal leadership in safety and ensure that myself and all colleagues at all levels take personal responsibility for safety and wellbeing as part of their role.
• Ability to negotiate parts and services with vendors
