Maintenance Mechanic

Assignment length - 6 months (there might be a potential for extension)

Location - Foster City, CA - but will need to go back and forth to Hayward and Foster City

Schedule - Mon - Fri (7AM - 4PM PST)

Pay Rate - $35.00 per hour

A leading biotechnology company are searching for a maintenance mechanic to join their growing team onsite!

This job requires maintaining and repairing the facility's structure, equipment and ground, including plumbing, electrical and HVAC.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for mechanical service calls and in-house repairs throughout facility and grounds,
• May work from sketches, blueprints, and drawings,
• May provide guidance and oversee other personnel,
• Performs skilled trade work, such as carpentry or painting in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs, or office fixtures,
• & Act as liaison and supervise work of contractors
• Monitor, maintain document and perform preventative maintenance on HVAC system including central plant,

Must haves:

• Previous experience in biotech industry facilities,

• Skilled in basic maintenance and contrition trades and techniques,

• Facilities maintenance experience,

• GMP (good manufacturing practices) processes,

• Familiar with SAP and BMS (building management system),

• Able to read and understand blueprints and be able to read and write routine reports,

• Must also have experience and knowledge of basic PC skills and the ability to operate hand and power tools, such as drills, saw, grinder and sanders,

• Must be able to frequently list and/or move up to 50 lbs,
