POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager is responsible for effectively leading both Maintenance Technicians and Supervisors. The Manager will establish and maintain positive employee relations through living the Lozier Mission, Vision, & Core Values along with Lozier’s Leadership Model. This position will help drive all safety initiatives, equipment and process standardization, and will drive root cause solutions. The Manager will help grow and develop current training programs. This position clearly communicates expectations and consistently holds self and employees accountable for performance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Lead a zero-injury safety culture through focus on safety initiatives, communication, and incident follow up corrective actions.

- Supervise routine, preventive, and project maintenance and tool & die work assignments to optimize the reliability of plant equipment and the facilities.
- Work collaboratively with all stakeholder functions to plan, organize, and justify cost for project implementation and preventive maintenance and demonstrate problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
- Work collaboratively with production supervisors and managers to solve equipment problems, reduce costs and improve operations.
- Maintain and consistently administer local policies to meet day to day operating requirements. Ensure that all regulatory standards and company policies are understood, supported and followed on the production floor.
- Collaborate with support functions, including Learning & Development Team, to coordinate job training and provide training resources within the department.
- Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings and completing assignments.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Minimum of an Associate’s degree or two-year certification in related technical field or equivalent experience required; bachelor’s degree in technical field preferred.
Experience: With a degree or certification in a related field, 5 years’ experience in an engineering, maintenance or tool & die position; with at least 2 year of demonstrated success in leading/managing a technical area, such as manufacturing engineering, Tool & Die or maintenance in a manufacturing setting.
Without a degree, 8 years in an engineering, maintenance or tool & die position; with at least 4 years of demonstrated success in leading/managing a technical area, such as manufacturing engineering, Tool & Die or maintenance Demonstrated success in leading/managing a technical area, such as manufacturing engineering, Tool & Die or maintenance in a manufacturing setting.
Required Skills:
- Demonstrated mechanical and electrical knowledge including troubleshooting and programmable controller knowledge.
- Experience in driving continuous improvement
- Ability to deploy structured problem solving tools
- Excellent ability to develop leaders
- Intermediate skill with Microsoft Office Applications.
- Knowledge of industrial maintenance, tool, and die in a manufacturing setting
SPECIAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to navigate throughout a manufacturing facility or warehouse 75% of the day.
- Must be flexible to cover for shifts other than the regularly assigned shift.
