Salary: $120k-$140K DOE

Position Overview : The Maintenance Manager leads the site maintenance team to deliver world class reliability and production results by continuously improving the preventative and predictive maintenance systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Requisitions and keeps supply of critical spare parts.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management.

- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Regular and punctual attendance.
- Drives continuous improvement of equipment reliability and uptime using the Company’s maintenance management operating system.
- Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees within the Production Maintenance Department.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Plans, assigns, and directs work of the Production Maintenance Department employees as well as prepares performance appraisals; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
- Modifies programming of PLCs and related equipment such as controllers and programmable controllers.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Leads the maintenance team in the repair of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Proactively communicate when problems arise and develops plans to resolve.
- Confers with other managers to coordinate activities of individual departments.
- Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
- To perform this job successfully, must be able to perform each fundamental task listed above satisfactorily.

- Directs workers engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.
- Maintains time and production records.
- Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Carries out supervisory and management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Role models and follows all safety procedures and reinforces a safe work environment with the maintenance team and the site.
- Works with a sense of urgency and drives a sense urgency with his/her team.
- Relays and enforces company policies, good manufacturing practices (GMP’s), environmental, health and safety regulations.

Education and/or Experience :
- Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High school diploma or GED, required.
- Minimum of four years of related leadership experience in a manufacturing and packaging facility required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or related field, preferred.
Language Skills : English, Spanish is helpful.
Supervisory Responsibilities : Directly supervises 5-30 employees in the Production Maintenance Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment : While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is responsible to work safely in a manufacturing environment which includes moving mechanical parts, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and potential hazards due to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic chemicals; extreme temperatures and vibration. Personal protective equipment for the applicable work environment is required to be worn at all times.
