Audio And Data Assistant

SUMMARY:
Hachette Audio seeks an Audio & Data Assistant to support its Data and Operations Manager as well as the production and marketing teams in support of our audiobook publishing program. Our small, dynamic department produces and sells over 700 titles a year, across all popular genres and with award-winning and bestselling authors. This position will afford a great view across various functions of different publishing operations, as the department encompasses Production, Marketing, Sales, Managing Editorial, and Publicity roles. Ideal candidates will be extremely detail oriented and able to balance multiple projects with varying due dates and recurrence at once.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with various HBG departments including editorial, production, and art in to maintain audiobook publication schedules
• Field all Customer Service requests
• Update and distribute weekly Hachette Audio production schedule; update and distribute weekly production reports for Hachette Audio distribution clients
• Manage all invoices and agreements for Hachette audio recordings (650+ titles per year)
• Source from HBG print managing editorial all print book word counts and interiors in adherence to the audio recording schedule
• Serve as primary contact regarding audiobook file delivery - assist in audio asset ingestion to digital asset management system, troubleshoot any/all file issues
• Create digital audio codes and share with authors, agents and HBG staff

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Strong Excel and MS Word skills
• Effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines
• Relevant work experience in trade publishing or adjacent industries; any audiobook experience a plus

The compensation for this position is $47,500. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location — talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
