Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Logistics Manager located in the Greater Charlotte area overseeing the main ship hub.

The Facility

• 3 shift operation
• Direct oversight of 8 associates, including 3 managers (50 associates total consisting of 20 drivers)
• WMS environment
• 110k sq. ft

Responsibilities

• Ensure integrity of inventory and assure that cycle counts are completed daily and accurately
• Promote and drive safety daily in the workplace, creating a safe work environment for associates
• Shipping of outbound orders, cycle counting, and final mile delivery services to our customers.
• Maintain security of warehouse and safety of all associates and equipment, reporting any accidents and conveying any issues to management
• Maintain and develop a productive warehouse by hiring, training and providing professional development for all of its associates
• Ensure cleanliness levels are maintained in our sites
• Drive high levels of quality in customer deliveries, inventory integrity within the building, and maintain associate engagement throughout the operation
• Provide consistent communication to associates and counterparts
• Lead and coordinate associates performing activities including; unloading and stocking of inbound shipments, order selection and
• Provide strategic leadership for our 24 Hour shipping hub

Qualifications

• Ability to pro-actively plan and make timely decisions
• Strong interactive communication skills with ability to effectively communicate to different levels of the organization
• A strong background in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is required
• Hands on experience managing a team, including selection, training, mentoring, and performance management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
• Experience leading a team of delivery drivers is a plus
• Strong understanding of Logistics and Warehousing
• 8+ years' experience in distribution management leading 30+ employees in a large distribution/warehouse environment
• Previous experience working in a WMS environment is a must
• A proven understanding of OSHA and DOT regulations
• Material Handling Equipment Certification
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, industrial management, or related technical or education subject area is preferred

Pay Range:

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
