The Logistics Manager will be responsible for the overall supply chain management. The goal is to manage the entire order cycle to enhance business development and ensure sustainability.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the flow of goods in and out between different channels and internal PCS warehouse; including, but not limited to all logistics functions, warehousing, distribution, shipping/receiving, order management, and inventory management.
- Monitor import/export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory/legal requirements.
- Negotiate shipping contracts and best fees for different PCS regions.
- Allocate resources based on upcoming inbound and outbound activities with a clear focus of delivering world class customer service.
- Provide motivation, support, and guidance to all employees.
- Monitor all claims and missing stock in transit when required.
- Ensure all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines.
- Communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management while working to resolve.
- Perform additional tasks as required to accomplish organizational goals.
- Establish workflow policies and processes that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product quality, safety, or integrity.
- Create and sustain KPI for the logistics area: monitoring cost, on time shipments accuracy, Claims and missing stock in transit.
- Oversee and put in place controls to ensure the correct customs taxes.
- Communicate with various company personnel at all levels to provide and receive information, resolve questions/issues and coordinate activities.
- Train staff as well as monitor their performance and progress.
- Validate shipping invoices payments.
- Optimize facility utilization to ensure maximum efficiencies and labor effectiveness to drive continuous improvement.
Skills and Qualifications
- Inventory Management
- Proven track record of successfully training employees in productivity and delivery
- Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as in a group setting
- Team focused with an ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of Safety Regulations
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma an advantage
- Excellent people and project management skills
- Computer and technology literate, MS Office
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- 5+ years' experience in logistics
Work Conditions and Physical Demands:
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is occasionally required to:
- Lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.
- Repetitive use of hands/fingers/wrist to handle electronic devices or tools.
- Reach with hands or arms, bend, crouch.
- Walk or stand for long period of hours.
- Remain in a stationary position for long periods of hours.
