Position Summary

A successful and growing mortgage company in Dallas, Texas, is seeking a high-performance Loan Officer Assistant. This position offers a unique opportunity to support and grow a winning team committed to helping people achieve their dream of debt-free home ownership.

This candidate will be an experience mortgage industry professional with current knowledge of mortgage products, programs, LOS systems, required documentation and understand the flow of a mortgage loan file.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular dialogue with other team members (Loan Partner 2, District Manager, and Processor) throughout the loan process.
• Stack and organize files in the proper submission order.
• Build and update Mortgage Coach Total Cost Analyses as needed.
• Follow daily systems and checklists.
• Coordinate mortgage loan applications from start to finish - file opening & application input, pull credit history, prepare for submission, retrieve loan conditions, etc.
• Coordinate marketing for The Kevin Watson Team.
• Answer and screen incoming calls and track leads.
• Review and validate every file, looking for errors and inconsistencies.
• Communicate with borrowers, Realtors and prospects.
• Follow up with pipeline borrowers to prevent attrition.
• Other duties as assigned
• Branch-related tasks and special projects as assigned.
• Assist District Manager with calendar management.
• Assist with implementation of events.

Qualifications

• Mortgage banking experience a plus
• Able to manage the loans from contract to close
• Strong Analytical, problem assessment/solving and decision-making skills
• Must have a ‘can do-will do’ attitude and team spirit
• Able to manage time effectively, prioritize, and multi-task
• Experience managing a large pipeline
• Able to manage deadlines efficiently
• Excellent written and oral communication skills a must
• Proficient with Encompass, AUS, DU, LP, Microsoft Office
• Quality orientation with extreme attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent proofreading skills
• Proficient in Conventional, government and Jumbo loans.
