Library Associate 3 Jobs

As a Library Associate 3, you will be an integral part of Library Systems & Services, a professional library network that offers nationwide opportunities for growth and development. Responsibilities

• Develop and execute programs and initiatives to promote library services and usage.
• Support the library’s collection development and management activities including selection, ordering, processing, and maintenance of materials.
• Assist patrons in locating library materials and provide guidance in using library resources.
• Train and supervise library assistants and student workers.
• Provide reference and research assistance to patrons using library resources and help students with research papers, projects and presentations.
• Manage the library’s daily operational activities and ensure smooth functioning.
• Collect and maintain data, usage statistics, and conduct assessments for library spaces, collections and services.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience working in a library or similar environment
• Creativity and innovation in developing library programs and initiatives
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge and experience using integrated library systems and online resources.
• Bachelor’s degree required in Library Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
