JOB SUMMARY: As a Letter Setter, you will be responsible for attaching the correct names, dates, and emblems to the memorials according to the work order. WHAT YOU LL BE DOING: Utilizing the work order to locate and pull the correct pattern based on design and size Picking the correct emblems, letters, and numbers, ranging in size to 4 , according to the work ticket Using a ruler to accurately measure and draw lines on the pattern; ensuring correct placement of text Using an eye dropper to place small beads of melted wax around the base of each emblem, number, and letter to affix them to the pattern Making precise adjustments using a handheld propane torch, plastic pick, and/or wire brush Inspecting the pattern carefully to ensure there are no spacing or centering issues, crooked characters, gaps under characters, etc Assisting with the sorting and inspection of characters and emblems that are returned from molding to determine which can be reused and which need to be recycled WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN: Read a tape measure and a shop ticket Possess good hand/eye coordination with strong spatial perception Work well as a team and work independently PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Stands for half the shift. Reaches and lifts up to 50 pounds. Uses eyes, wrists, hands, and fingers constantly.
