The Employment Development Department's (EDD) Legal Office is seeking candidates for the Legal Analyst position at its headquarters in downtown Sacramento.
Under the general supervision of the Assistant Chief Counsels and the General Counsel, the Legal Analyst provides paralegal support to Legal Office attorneys. The Legal Analyst reviews and prepares responses to requests for confidential information, including subpoenas, conducts legal research, and coordinates and transmits requests for legal representation to the Office of the Attorney General. The Legal Analyst reviews records responsive to requests made under the Public Records Act and makes recommendations on whether they can be legally released. The Legal Analyst also coordinates the rulemaking process for EDD and handles administrative case filings with the CUIAB, SPB, and CalHR.
The Legal Office is looking for an individual who is self-motivated, exhibits the ability to work independently and on a team, has strong organizational skills, is detailed-oriented, and demonstrates the core values of EDD.

Please note that T&D must be indicated as your eligibility qualification when applying and that it would be up to the hiring authority to approve any T&D assignments.
