Product Manager - Legal Research

Founded in 1947 CEB is one of California's oldest and most prestigious legal information and continuing legal education providers. CEB publishes judgments of California case law, practical guidance for attorneys and, CLE all in a variety of practice areas and formats e.g. print, online and, in-person.
A CEB product manager is responsible for driving vision, product strategy, and execution for Legal Research products that serve the California legal community. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to execute on a roadmap that is a balanced portfolio of big bets, tactical changes, and core refinements on the Legal research product line. This role is responsible for the ongoing performance of all legal research products and solutions including but not limited to current awareness, primary law, case law citator, secondary sources, and legal know-how.

Required/Preferred
4 year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required
JD, JD/MBAs, or prior product experience in legal technology or a related field.
Preferred
Minimum 3 years as a product manager in a technology company or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required
Experience with either e-commerce or content/search-based products, preferably in a legal solutions environment.
Required
Experience in a fully agile development environment, preferably one with distributed team members in a matrixed environment.
Required
Experience owning product and/or feature development from idea to launch on a new or early-stage product.

Proven skills in strategic thinking, planning and execution.

Ability to challenge conventional thinking to deliver innovative recommendations.

Excellent project management skills including the development of technology-based products and services.
