Case Analyst / Legal Assistant (Onsite)

Summary:

The Case Analyst is responsible for assisting engineering staff in reconstructing vehicle collisions and preparing for expert witness testimony. This role partners with engineers in preparing case analysis including but not limited to obtaining and reviewing relevant documentation, managing the case calendar, and conducting technical research related to cases.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Additional duties as assigned.
• Openly communicates with engineering staff to work proactively in preparing for upcoming deadlines.
• Builds and maintains a positive relationship with clients.
• Maintains organization of all file materials into applicable file folders on internal systems.
• Retrieves and organizes all relevant file materials
• Reads/summarizes and extracts key information from depositions, interrogatories and/or other reports
• Organizes and reviews files for deposition preparation and manages production of documents.
• Handles all calendaring for trials and depositions.
• Assists with calendaring and preparation for inspection work.
• Interfaces with engineering staff and follows up with clients to obtain necessary documentation.
• Initiates and participates in follow-up calls regarding case status and/or new file materials.
• Communicates with clients to assist in the smooth operation of analysis.
• Initiates and updates case summaries.

Qualifications:

• Personal injury experience a plus
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong reading, writing and research skills required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in an administrative function (legal, IT, engineering or aerospace business environment preferred)
