Job Description

Pay: $17.50

Sunday & Monday 8a-4p | Thursday - Saturday 4p-1230a or 230am |

Schedule may varies based on Business Needs

Primary Tasks:

  • You will prepare all soups, stocks, and sauces.
  • You will maintain supplies of food, cleaning supplies, and other food preparation supplies.
  • You will train and monitor cooking staff.
  • You will conduct end of shift tasks including checking temp logs and ensuring kitchen is prepared for the next shift.
  • Cook food by char-broiling, poaching, deep frying, pan-frying, sauté, roasting, griddling, and par-cooking.
  • You will monitor quality of food being served.
  • You will prepare multiple ingredients including washing, chopping, slicing, and peeling of fruits and vegetables.
  • You will follow standardized recipes and methods to prepare meals that are cooked, tasty and visually appealing.
  • You will follow established food preparation procedures and converted portion guidelines to control waste levels.
  • Practice proper food storage and follow suitable food serving temperatures.
  • You will maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized work environment by practicing proper housekeeping procedure cleaning while working.

12.Perform other tasks as may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Proficient in the following cooking techniques: Char-Broiling, poaching, deep frying, pan-frying, sauté, roasting, griddling, and par-cooking
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Food Safety Certification
  • Three (3) years of experience as a broiler/sauté cook in a high-end, high-volume restaurant.
