As a Lead Account Executive, you will be on the front-lines of our business to help build Jobscan’s B2B clientele base across our target industries like universities, non-profit, governments, and businesses. Jobscan has grown its consumer business steadily over the years, but we have a consistent flow of universities and organizations asking for our business. This is a tremendous opportunity to grow your career by developing a sales business from its infancy with a product people are already raving about. You’ll use your prior sales experience to gain an understanding of our target customer-base and develop strategies for gaining their business through a combination of research and outreach.

This role will report to Jobscan’s CEO and will work closely with marketing, product and engineering departments. This position will provide a unique opportunity for personal development and career advancement within an organization defining the future of job search.

$70,000 - $85,000 base salary + commission
  • Prospect, email, call, and close deals along with account executives
  • Manage a sales team and provide coaching and support to help them achieve their targets
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product, marketing, and customer success to develop solutions that meet customer needs
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adjust sales strategies and stay ahead of the curve
  • Identify and target new customer segments to expand the company's market share and increase revenue
  • Work with the CEO and the team to develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets and drive growth for the company
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, understanding their needs and offering solutions to meet those needs
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to generate new leads and promote the company's products and services.

Requirements

  • Self-starter, result-oriented, high energy, adaptable, and inquisitive.
  • Ability to build strong personal relationships.
  • Proven track record as the top salesperson in ambiguous environments.
  • A natural hunter
  • Not afraid to pick up the phone. Some call volume is expected in this role.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage every step of the sales cycle: sales development, discovery, and closing.
  • 1-3 years of experience leading a sales team
  • Experience developing and growing a new market or new segment types from scratch that generates more than $500k/year
  • Experience negotiating and navigating contracts.

Nice to have

  • Experience at a technology startup selling SaaS.
  • Experience in other areas of enterprise sales like SDR, account management, and sales operations is a plus.
  • Experience selling to complex organizations like enterprises, governments, education, healthcare sectors.
  • Formal and informal sales leadership experience a plus.
