Label Assistant Jobs

Because Group seeks a full-time Los Angeles-based Label Assistant to support its team leads in developing the Because artists and imprint in the United States.

Curious and highly organized, you will assist across all departments of Because Group including Marketing, Digital Marketing, Creative Licensing, Publishing, and A&R.

Missions will evolve following music market evolution and the development of the Because U.S. structure.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist our staff in managing the label’s releases in the United States in collaboration with local & international promotional teams, and conduct daily administrative tasks.

* Regular communication & exchange with our counterparts based in Paris & London, assisting with promo requests, providing marketing assets, creating style sheets, collecting copyright splits for registration, meetings and note taking where requested.

* Assemble reporting across synch, sales, promo and streaming performance.

* Oversee office management and administrative tasks.

* Conduct research to identify editorial & third-party playlist targets as well as upcoming synch opportunities in the US, for upcoming frontline campaigns & priority catalog tracks.

* Brainstorm ideas for possible placements, and assist our local & international team with tracking proactive pitches.

* Create samplers & mailers together to service the external partners.

* Regularly organize, maintain & update songs metadata.

* Coordinate in house studio schedule and songwriting sessions with our existing roster.

* Assist in scouting new songwriting talent.

* Assist in producing bespoke promo events & content shoots across primary cities.

Requirements

* A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role in the music industry

* Excellent organizational, communication & time management skills

* Must be proactive and show initiative, be detail-oriented and have excellent technical skills

* Passion for music & culture (an affinity with UK and European repertoire is a strong plus)

* Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, Microsoft Word/Google Docs (Photoshop & audio editing software skills are a plus)

* Aptitude with multiple languages is a plus
