Junior Security Analyst Jobs

This is a Junior Cyber Security Analyst role with experience in tech support, system admin, or network. To qualify, you need a combination of education, skills, and experience.

Responsibilities:

• Works with threat intelligence and/or threat-hunting teams.
• Conducts network monitoring and intrusion detection analysis
• Detect threats related to cloud environments.
• Correlates activity across assets and environments to identify patterns of anomalous activity.
• Conducts log-based and endpoint-based threat detection to detect and protect against threats.
• Works with security information and event management to manage the system, create/manage the detection content and proactively watch for alerts.
• Reviews alerts and data from sensors and documents formal, technical incident reports.

Skills Needed:

• Solid understanding of fundamental concepts and principles in cybersecurity, including network security, operating system security, encryption, access controls, and risk management.
• Must possess excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of operating systems, networking protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability assessment tools.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and information security management frameworks
• Willingness to learn and stay updated with the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies is crucial.
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Security certification is a plus.

Pay Transparency: $90,000 to $100,000 annually. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
