Chemical Production Engineer

Location: Freeport, TX

What You’ll Do:

Provide engineering and problem-solving skills to ensure the process operates safely and optimally. Monitor and analyze process performance. Analyze limitations and bottlenecks. Identify opportunities for process improvements, develop and implement solutions. Serve as the process technology expert on site in the Etinol/Vinylol areas.

Key responsibilities:

• Define optimal operation conditions / monitor plant and adjust for optimum performance
• Lead Six Sigma projects to improve yield, reduce energy usage and improve quality
• Update OUIs and SOPs in assigned process areas and identify improvement opportunities and generate IP proposals & scope sheets
• Develop and document in-depth process technology understanding
• Monitor and track plant performance (output, quality, yields, solvent usage) and lead operations in troubleshooting and investigation (RCAs)

You bring:

• Six Sigma Training preferred
• Knowledge of data analysis techniques, Root Cause Analysis, tools and application.
• Detailed knowledge of relevant Manufacturing Excellence work processes and applicable SHE & Manufacturing requirements
• Knowledge of production unit operations and manufacturing equipment
• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and experience providing engineering support in production or project roles
