Junior Business/Financial Analyst

JMA Solutions, a dynamic management consulting firm with headquarters in Washington, D.C. is seeking a Junior Business/Financial Analyst to support the Federal Aviation Administration. This position is primarily responsible for providing financial and business management analysis.

Essential Job Functions:

• Reconciliation of cost obligations to actual charges
• Budget formulation and execution
• Resolution of billing errors
• Conduct of special analysis and/or examination of business processes and financial reviews.
• Validation of and payment of invoices
• Cost estimating and projecting
• Financial tracking and reporting
• Maintaining the budget by the appropriate accounting code and funding source
• Expense classification
• Provision of technical assistance with regard to financial management at the operational level
• Coordination of efforts and provision of financial data to ensure successful NAS Plan Handoff

• Minimum of three (3) years of business/financial management experience
• Working knowledge of the federal budget process is required.
• Proficiency in the use of FAA's Financial Management Systems to include Primavera, PRISM, DELPHI, REGIS, OBIEE, Simplified Program Information Report & Evaluation (SPIRE) and the CWP Toolset. Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Business systems requirements development experience
• Prior experience in cost estimation, budget planning and preparation
• Working knowledge of Information Technology applications in Financial Management processes.
• Prior experience in budget tracking, expenditure analysis
• Seven (7) years of directly related work experience may be substituted for a degree
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Financial Management or a directly related field.
