Job Description

The role of the Sr. Business Analyst – "Flight Training Management System- Business Analyst" will work as part of the Crew Systems ITS team to help procure and implement a replacement for the Flight Training Management System (FTMS) database and associated applications.

Responsibilities

  • Supports FTMS applications and solutions delivery by participating in UI/UX design reviews and engineering stand-ups, grooming and planning to communicate requirements and validate proposed solutions
  • Leads analysis of business requirements to determine design/product/engineering requirements for the FTMS Implementation
  • Reviews UX/UI design documentation to ensure that requirements are correct, unambiguous, and verifiable
  • Partners with the business to identify the appropriate data sources and analysis methodology to meet business needs
  • Translates business requirements into functional requirements for product and engineering teams by applying a structured process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and leading change)
  • Assists in generating use cases/user stories to ensure that all functional requirements are captured
  • Works to gather, analyze, document and communicate business requirements through in-person and remote meetings with business partners and outside vendors
  • Performs impact analysis and supports application testing, implementation and training activities as needed
  • Identifies any potential roadblocks on the project and proactively communicate with project and product teams
  • Clearly articulates and documents business requirements for ITS and business partners
  • Identifies opportunities to improve business process and efficiency through supporting the FTMS implementation and application development
