Position Description


Tacoma Power is looking for a Senior Business Service Analyst, to join their Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) team. The incumbent will be a member of the EHS Leadership team and will partner with stakeholders across Tacoma Power, Tacoma Public Utilities and Tacoma Safety to effectively support the development and deployment of Safety and Environmental programs to meet compliance requirement and strategic objectives.


Responsibilities Includes


  • Coordinates safety training requirements and delivery with Tacoma Power Training.
  • Develops and maintains Power safety and TPU environmental compliance audit and inspection programs.
  • Convenes and facilitates meetings with stakeholders to create work products, policies, procedures, plans and/or programs.
  • Collects, organizes and provides data according to established processes within the management system to maintain status of programs, customer and stakeholder commitments and compliance.
  • Reviews and processes invoices for management approval.
  • Produces quarterly monthly safety statistical and KPI reports for management review.
  • Develops and maintains regulatory required compliant Safety and Environment Compliance Management System procedures and processes.
  • Develops and maintains a Power-wide Corrective Actions review process.
  • Develops and leads monthly Initiative Review Meetings with EHS Leadership Team.
  • Work with EHS leadership to develop, deliver, monitor and communicate progress towards Safety and Environmental Compliance Business Unit Goals.
  • Develops and maintains systems for tracking all program deliverables (reports, inspections, training etc.)
  • Ensures follow up action for issue resolution.
  • Assists in the development and integration of programs, plans, strategies and processes to meet EHS Strategic objectives and business unit goals.


Qualifications


Minimum Education*


Bachelor's degree public or business administration or directly related field


Minimum Experience*


4 years of progressively responsible analytical and/or program coordination/management work in area related to assignment


Licensing, Certifications And Other Requirements


Valid Washington State Driver’s License or equivalent mobility


  • Equivalency: 1 year of experience = 1 year of education


Knowledge & Skills


Desirable


Knowledge of City organization, policies, procedures, appropriate laws, codes, tax jurisdictions, regulations, and guidelines.

Other Employment Information


Direct Deposit: Employees are paid on a bi-weekly schedule by direct deposit.


Salary Increases: Based on satisfactory job performance, the City provides for a regular progression of salary increases for most classifications according to the salary schedule.


Union Affiliation: Many job classifications are covered by union security provisions which require union membership, dues, or payment of equivalent service fees.
