Job Description

Position Summary

DevOps Engineer

is responsible for creating systems software and analyzing data to improve existing systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software engineering and be familiar with Kubernetes and scripting automation technologies, work with developers and engineers to ensure that software development follows established processes. In addition, deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations that meet Lirio's needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review existing systems and offer recommendations to other projects for improvement.
  • Building and implementing new development tools and infrastructure
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
  • Participate in peer reviews of code, designs, and tests.
  • Automate and improve development and release processes
  • Provide Level 3 technical support
  • Document systems and network architecture requirements and configuration

Education/Experience

  • Strong experience with Amazon Web Services
  • Advanced Computer Skills
  • Collaborative team spirit
  • Intermediate/Strong understanding of Kubernetes
  • Proficiency with Git and Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
  • 3-7 years of experience
  • Problem-solving attitude

Systems Experience

  • Experience with authoring Linux scripts and automation tools using bash, python, or similarily related tools
  • Familiar with system compliance frameworks HITRUST and SOC2
  • Microsoft Azure Active Directory & LDAPS
    • AWS Solutions Architect (preferred)
    • Azure Solutions Architect (preferred)
  • Ability to review operational metrics and make analytic decisions/recommendations about operational infrastructure performance
  • Azure Solutions Architect (preferred)
  • Helm, Apache Kafka (Confluent), Hashicorp Terraform, Hashicorp Vault, PostgreSQL, bash, python, docker, Ansible, Chef/Puppet
  • AWS Solutions Architect (preferred)
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes administration and support, Amazon EKS preferred
