JIRA Developer/Administrator
Description of specific duties in a typical workday for this position:
  • Manage user permissions in Jira and Confluence spaces per established governance
  • Perform regular patching and upgrade of Atlassian products
  • Build and maintain a custom application using JIRA Service Management
  • Experience of performing Atlassian migration from On-Prem env to customers self-hosted Azure/AWS environment
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization, gather requirements to develop, and deliver custom templates, workflows (automation) using Atlassian products/add-ons/plug-ins (JIRA, Service Desk, Confluence, Insight, Bitbucket, Proforma, Refined, Kantega.)
  • Design, Develop, Configure and perform required routine administration on Atlassian products/servers (JIRA, Service Desk, Confluence, Bitbucket), including custom plugins for JIRA
  • Design and organize documents in Confluence by function/office and link the Confluence space with respective Service Desk projects for easy access
  • Evaluate and recommend plugins from Atlassian Marketplace to enhance efficiencies
Position Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in writing scripts (Groovy, JavaScript etc.)
  • Maintain existing documentation space and create new technical documents to support the environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in a customer facing role, gather requirements, meet with business partners/stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment
  • Excellent understanding of JIRA workflows, permission schemes, notification schemes, screens schemes, issue type schemes, custom field configuration etc. Familiarity with databases and SQL competence
  • Must be Green Card holder
  • Experience managing Confluence spaces
  • Expertise with JIRA administration
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business; business management; financial management; systems management; computer science; engineering; physics; math
  • Available to support releases, upgrades, issue resolution during after office hours/weekends
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Expertise with JIRA service desk and front-end/UI customization
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with APIs and tool integration
  • Experience working on Linux environment
  • Experience working with Agile development and DevOps processes
