Job Description
The Level II Technician/Engineer’s responsibilities will include, but is not limited to, troubleshooting and servicing IT-related issues for the company and its employees. This classification is characterized by its primary responsibility to assist in analyzing and affecting appropriate solutions for technical issues within different components, such as software, desktop hardware, mobile devices, server-based applications, and networking issues. Incumbents must possess exceptional analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills to communicate on multiple technical-related problems quickly and efficiently.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Document all technical procedures and user guides
  • Administer network security measures to prevent system interruptions or breaches
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing wired and wireless network systems Computer Hardware and Software Troubleshooting
  • Maintain inventory of network electronics
  • Track customer issues and resolutions using ticketing systems
  • Provide training on the use of different types of systems for users
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Perform routine network maintenance
  • Resolve complex problems, by interacting with customers through phone, emails, chats or other electronic means, and provide unambiguously written instructions or technical manuals
  • Handle repairs and exchanges of defective devices
  • Recommend hardware and software improvements
  • Install and configure desktop operating system devices as well as mobile devices
  • Collaborate on the improvement of network design and connectivity efficiency
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining computer networks


Requirements


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:


  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and data protocols
  • Valid Driver’s License (DMV printout required)
  • Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft 365 Platforms
  • Positive and professional demeanor
  • Excellent communication Skills
  • Fundamental knowledge of networking, hardware, and software
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Ability to work independently while completing tasks within provided deadlines
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Deadline and detail-oriented


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • 5 to 7 years’ previous experience in IT Helpdesk field or the MSP related field
  • High School Diploma


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Twisting, bending, stooping, pushing, grasping, and reaching
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Sitting and/or standing, walking, and climbing stairs
